Regaine Extra Strength for Men works best in those men who exhibit hair loss or thinning at the top of the scalp. Those men who are losing hair for a short period of time, are younger or have a smaller area of baldness are likely to respond the best to Regaine Extra Strength for Men.

N.B. It must be noted that you are unlikely to benefit this product if you have been bald for several years or have a larger area of hair loss.

What Results Can Be Expected?

Regaine Extra Strength for Men will not work for everyone who uses it. it is not possible to predict how you will respond.

Hair growth is a slow process, hence Regaine Extra Strength for Men may take a few months to work. In clinical trials, those 3 out of 5 men who reported hair re-growth used Regaine Extra Strength for Men for 48 weeks of continual use.

The re-growth of hair should become noticeable after 8-10 weeks and is likely to be soft and 'downy' in the beginning, but should eventually become the same as normal hair.

After 2-6 weeks of use, there may initially be an increase in hair loss. This should subside within a couple of weeks and is likely to be a result of the hair re-growth cycle.

If increased hair loss persists for longer than 2 weeks you should stop using the product and consult your doctor. If after 12 months there is no hair re-growth, it is extremely unlikely that you will respond to Regaine Extra Strength for Men and you should stop using it.

N.B. If you suffer from heart disease (including abnormal heart rhythms or rates, angina or chest pains) and/or circulation disorders you should seek the advice of your doctor before using Regaine for Men Extra Strength.
There is a potential risk that minoxidil, the active ingredient in Regaine for Men Extra Strength may interact with certain blood pressure medicines called 'vasodilators', and alter their affect. You should consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking such medication.
If minoxidil passes through the skin into the bloodstream it can cause side-effects such as rapid heart beat, faintness or dizziness, or swollen hands or feet. When Regaine for Men Extra Strength is used as recommended it is extremely unlikely that any of these side-effects will occur. There is however a chance that the drug could get absorbed into the bloodstream if the medicine is over-used, or if a user is unusually sensitive to minoxidil, or if it is used when there is a scalp condition (such as psoriasis) present.

Stop using Regaine for Men Extra Strength if you get any of the following:

Side-effects more commonly occur in women. You may find that Regaine for Men Extra Strength irritates your skin (e.g. local redness, itching, dryness, scalp flaking). This may be due to the presence of propylene glycol in this product. Although this might only be a temporary effect, if it persists stop using the product. Stop using Regaine for Men Extra Strength if you notice changes in hair colour and/or texture. Regaine for Men Extra Strength contains ethanol (alcohol) which will cause burning and irritation if you get it in the eye. If you get Regaine for Men Extra Strength in your eye, mouth or on a cut or damaged skin, wash the area well with lots of cool tap water. Unwanted non-scalp hair has occasionally been reported. Always wash your hands thoroughly after application and if accidentally applied to parts of the body other than the scalp, rinse thoroughly with water.
